After around 20 lessons i was able to pass first time at the herne bay driving test centre. I knew nothing at all to do with how to drive to begin with, John made me feel comfortable, helped me build confidence, and showed the perfect level of encouragement, which without I believe wouldn’t have been possible. John is reliable, patient, fun and friendly. He helped me no end to pass my test. He is instructive, the car is brilliant and in my opinion John Harvey is the best driving instructor in Canterbury! I would highly recommend him for anyone young or old inexperienced or experienced.

If you're looking for patience, encouragement, clear instruction, and critical feedback in a driving instructor, then John's the man! My previous instructor was not as patient as John so it was nice to learn in a relaxed environment and finally pass- thanks again!

I cannot fault CDS - learning to drive with John Harvey was a real pleasure. I can only reiterate what everyone else has said; calm, friendly, encouraging, affordable and reliable. Not only did John teach me to drive but built my confidence in driving and was extremely patient - even when the day before my test I still couldn't tell left from right!! I would whole heartedly recommend him as a driving instructor to anyone in need of driving lessons. Under his fantastic instruction I was able to pass my test first time and I'll even go so far as to say I will actually miss my weekly lesson - thanks John.

John is a great instructor, he is patient, friendly and encouraging. He made me feel very confortable behind the wheel, and this obviously proved to work as I passed first time. Plus, the new car is so nice to drive. Nice colour too!

CDS was recommended to be by a friend and as soon as i started my driving lessons I realised why. Despite my nerves and lack of confidence, John made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. 
John has a relaxed, yet effective style of teaching which was just perfect for me. He was also very encouraging throughout the whole process. The combination of his skill set, the nice car and general organisation of the course enabled me to pass first time!!

Passed today, care of bigman John. I failed twice before with my three previous instructors, who had nothing on this guy - the most popular man in Canterbury without a doubt!
